Where it runs
Built around one goalkeeper
In a private session the coach builds the whole hour around your goalkeeper: their age, their level, their position on their team and the specific moments that cost them goals. There is no waiting in line and no drill that does not apply.
A first private session usually starts with an assessment of footwork, handling, diving and distribution. From there the coach sets priorities and a plan for the next sessions.
When private training makes the biggest difference
- Before tryouts, to sharpen technique and confidence.
- After moving up an age group, when shots get faster and the goal feels bigger.
- To fix one habit, like diving backward, parrying into danger or poor positioning.
- For older goalkeepers preparing for high school or competitive club soccer.
Private training and group training together
Many goalkeepers combine weekly group sessions with private sessions before key moments of the season. Group sessions build volume and competition; private sessions build precision.
